Dancing on pointe!
That is every young dancer’s dream;
to be a ballerina, twirl and spin on her toes.
But it is much more difficult that it looks. Before anyone starts dancing on pointe, they need the proper ballet training and preparation.
I would recommend The Perfect Pointe Book for anyone who is really serious about gaining flexibility and strength and wants to supplement your ballet classes. This is a good book. It's not meant to "replace" your classes, because there is nothing like being taught by a human -- but it is a wonderful tool that will help you with the "why"s" of what you are doing. It helps to make it all make sense -- and that will help any student to improve.
